When organizing my trip to Italy I wanted to ensure that I experienced as much as possible in the limited time available with no travel worries that you would normally associate with visiting a foreign country. By choosing Vita Italian Tour I achieved this and more.

I am still amazed at how many places we saw and the distances we travelled. Using two small people movers, local transport and walking a great deal enabled me to see far more than would have been possible if using the normal tour bus regime. The small group ensured that we had very personal care and attention.

Each day was organized from start to finish and the hardest thing I had to do was to be on time to leave in the morning. Restaurants were found, informative talks were given and beautiful sites were enjoyed. Mario catered to each individual’s needs and ensured that we had time in each location to shop, sit and have a coffee or view more of the towns and villages we were visiting.

By the end of the tour Mario with the help of his son, Gianni, had made of us in the group feel like part of his family and we knew that we had seen a side of Italy that others only dream about.

Overall, taking the two tours back to back was just a wonderful experience and a great way to gain exposure to and develop a feel for Italy. The tour met more than my expectations. I started your tour with an open mind and eyes. Mario your knowledge and passion for Italy shone through; I knew very little of Italy but always had a desire to travel there. The tour was organized very well taking in the tourist attractions but also making the tour unique to us by you adding your own personal touches, i.e. going to authentic restaurants, visiting your relatives, actually experiencing the Italian culture. I really enjoyed the food and wine. The best thing was being introduced to Limoncello: for the digestion only! Lunch at Castello Verrazzano was an excellent choice to finish off the tour.

Mario seems to have refined Le Marche Tour to have it well balanced between culture and leisure. There were plenty of opportunities to relax and enjoy the holiday pace of the charming seaside town of Pesaro with its wide beach filled with colourful umbrellas. The ancient town is equally charming and its narrow streets, which thankfully exclude almost all vehicle traffic, are full of cyclists and pedestrians throughout the day and night. The day tours out from Pesaro were a delight, with our cooking course with Donatella in Urbania both a highlight of the tour and of our time in Italy.
